We’re now onto the 13th track in the 20 that make up The Rights Future.
Religion has stalked this whole project from the start. I don’t mean stalked necessarily in a negative sense, I just mean that ideas about religion, and their impact on human rights, have been provoking discussion even in tracks that have not been concerned directly with the topic. This track is.
This is where I take on, as it were, the inter-relationship between religion and human rights. It’s a subject on which I have strong, and personal views. And they’re not always views with which the human rights community agrees.
So I’m looking forward with great interest and, I have to say, a degree of trepidation, to what you have to say by way of response to this essay, one of the core subjects in the whole project.
